In a world where men and women are treated differently, men have more power and success in the workplace, women (in some societies) are more openly cherished, do people have a human right to choose how they are sexually perceived, regardless of their genetic makeup? Why should a woman suffer the discrimination against her sex in the workplace if she wants to choose to present herself to society as a man? Does this not fall under the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that is granted to everyone in a free society? Does not freedom and liberty extend to the ability to choose how one wants to be seen by society? Your argument defends LBGQT people as genetically predisposed to their condition, but what is wrong with personal choice?
